History SBQ

wah seh got 9 out of 15 for history time-based assignment. the last question on reliability screwed up in a way if you did it you feel like dying liao. last question cos they ask how reliable source D in telling the reason for imperialism mahz. then i got say the first paragraph: "the reason stated in source D". then Mr Bernard Chan go draw arrow then say: "what reason". in the and i lost 3 marks because of that. wah Mr Chan Arsenal Fan then like that larh. Marc-us united fan also always got high L of answer but in the end lowest mark for the Level. -.-

RI 28 - 41 SAS

Everybody would've expected us to lose. but the scoreline really doesn't tell much of the onslaught going on then. We went into the game mentally unprepared. we gave them many slips here and there, getting our own asses burnt and there wasn't much help. on the offensive end, we made several turnovers; mispasses and losing the ball when posts continuously attempted to dribble downcourt after getting rebounds. the home team, on the other hand, made full use of their offensive chances and scored many of the trips they made downcourt. to top that off, i fouled them several times on their drive to the basket, which they finished well anyways, giving them numerous and1s. In the end of the first half, they seemed ready to knock us out of all hopes of a come back. Even coach too, was feeling the frustration by then. we were then down 31-10. astonishing scoreline.

We came into the 2nd half feeling uncertain. but our play was about to get intense. we began putting pressure on our men. resulting in a couple of turnovers, which let us close the gap by a little bit. we put in a last stroke of effort into the last quarter, and so did SAS. the game was scoreless for at least a full 4 minutes into the last quarter, again due to several turnovers. but at the end of the 2nd half, we did lead them 18-10. but it simply was too late for ammendments.

Learning points:

- Look to pass after getting rebound, be slow to dribble.

- for PGs, swing the ball to the wings soon.

- Bao wo every possession, make full use of our offenses.

- finally, we should put in our all throughout the whole game, not just when we are losing a lot. it would've been too late to change anything.

- posts must screen fast when running boxes.

- pressure your guy even when he's without the ball.

On a sidenote, we have 2 matches next week. i tink tues against WRS and thurs dno who. Tmr playing Choa Chu Kang Pri won't be there, Jia Yous!!!

Our 1st round South Zone groupings are out! but unfortunately it seems our SZ journey might be a long and tough one.

bad choice huh... if we had Yuying in our pick it might've changed things by that much. haha.

CHS grouping is like how easy? Easy in the sense they confirm can beat de. haha. check it out.

ARGH!!! DAMN RE GROUP

i have a FREAKING imbecile in my RE group! HELP!

asked him do methodology. he did it, sent me. i told him elaborate further, not enough.

guess what he added in... a face with a speech bubble that says "I'm fat". ARGH!!!!!!!!! then he spams the word "very" just to describe muscleman, my basketball gym trainer. like : very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very fit.

am i supposed to do the whole thing by myself?!

We have lost 2 out 2 matches in the pre-season tournament, and our next match against SAS isn't looking too bright either. But we can guarantee, we'll leave everything on the court... we leave everything, for the team. this is our groundhold, our foundation. we move together as one. and when we do, we win matches. when we do, we win each other's hearts of trust. when we do... we truely comprise the Gryphons Basketball TEAM!

RI 49-82 CHS

It was just like how most people expected. a catastrophic loss against fellow south zone powerhouse Catholic High.

We shouldn't have been beaten up so badly. heres the reason for our loss:

-mainly myself & some others who did NOT convert several underbaskets that could've accounted for nearly 20 points.

-letting them throw the ball over our heads several times.

-chng fouling out with 6 mins remaining

-chng practically missing ALL his free throws. and his ALL is freaking many. more than 10.

-NOT GETTING DEFENSIVE REBOUNDS!

-Posts were not running the 1-2-2 well.

-basically little slips here and there every now and then. -.-

Skill-wise, we're comparable. execution-wise, ...

RI Vs UWC

BEFORE YOU GUYS ASK ME ANYTHING ABOUT THE MATCH, here's the lowdown.

RI 30:45 UWC. I scored 1 point. got benched cos wasn't wearing contacts.

WTF!!!!

Okay. anyways, mikhael stole the show away, as usual. He scored 2 shots and following both shots, FORGOT all about his man and he was like, waving his head to the side as if saying : Shiok ah. of course coach dealt with him later on. Chng was doing his thing again in the match. Had one, we have to admit, a darn nice no-look to CCC. And CCC was like bragging that one point he got from Chng's assist to me the whole trip to the MRT in the Bus. won't stop doing that. and continued today in training. screw!

Alex, was... "comical", as defined by coach, because of the way he was marking his man, initially their star player No. 10. well, he might seem to be putting in a hard pressure on no 10 to the untrained eye (bleah), but well... he was basically using his chest and face to guard him. Bballers know this ain't good. but apart from that he got quite a fair bit of points.

bao kun. I won't say anything about him. words won't do his play any justice, so... alright that's about it. till next time :)
